surveillance camera installation

In addition to the existing equipment sensors, etc that we re used, we opted to add internal and external cameras, in addition to the garage door automation feature. Shortly after installation, we encountered a few issues which, individually, weren’t a big deal and could have been shaken off if they were the only issues. We also realized that the technology was cumbersome and NOT user friendly. For example, the internal and external cameras are on different systems and need to be accessed using two different apps. We had trouble with the app for the external cameras, and when asking if there was a way to access the cameras via an internet browser on a computer, we were informed that the app was the only means for viewing. When inquiring as to how we could view the external camera activity if the app wasn’t working, they indicated that we should hook up a monitor to the DVR system the equipment that powers the external cameras.

We had some issues during our nighttime tests – as objects close to the camera were washed out by the LED – but nothing that would be a deal breaker for most home security scenarios. We especially like the simplicity of Nest's mobile app, which makes it relatively easy to set up the camera using a QR code. The Nest app also lets you view videos and control other Nest products, and this model works with more smart home devices than other security cameras, including the August Smart Lock, IFTTT, Philips Hue and Scout Alarm. Nest Cam's audio records well enough for most people, but it wasn't as clear as the Foscam C2 and the Flir FX.

There’s also cellular monitoring and two way voice communication too as nice touches. The equipment is efficient, and if you choose their premium service, you’ll also receive a lifetime warranty on the equipment itself. That can go a long way toward protecting your budget and ensuring that you’re making the right investment. All of this means you can have peace of mind that you are well protected. The monthly monitoring cost is around $30 to $50 per month, and Vivint customer service will be excited to sell you their latest and greatest options. The system is a good one for the money spent.
